Gateway Community Church will be holding a garage sale and BBQ on Sat Nov 14th from 8am-2pm. All proceeds will be going towards hosting Christmas dinner at the church to feed low income families! Now that summer has packed it’s bags it’s only fitting that we fill our chilly Thursday nights with meetings again! Just waiting for all the members to tie up any loose ends and we’ll be hard at work bringing Port Alberni together as a community! A big thank you to everyone who showed up to help us plant our hedge! We ended up planting about 2/3 of the trees we purchased and hope to do the next 1/3 on a weekend date in the near future.  Everyone who brought a shovel or a pick and dug a hole was greatly appreciated! We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you all again.

The website is officially “up and running”.  Feel free to post any comments regarding ideas for potential future projects or simply to say hi.

We are currently looking for volunteers for our May 27th planting session! If you are available from 10:30 am on that day we encourage you to come on up to Coombs Country Candy and help us beautify the area with some shrubbery compliments of Naturescapes Nursery and the generous people of Port Alberni! This is your opportunity to contribute to and take pride in our beautiful little town! Hope to see you there!
